About TropicAtlas

TropicAtlas is a data-driven Caribbean travel directory designed for travelers who want more than glossy resort photos and generic listicles. We built TropicAtlas because we believed Caribbean travel deserved better tools β€” smarter search, real data, and honest profiles that treat every island as more than a beach backdrop.

Whether you are planning a honeymoon, scouting a sailing route, comparing hurricane risk across regions, or simply trying to figure out which currency you will need, TropicAtlas puts the answers in one place β€” organized, searchable, and free.

How it works

Every destination on TropicAtlas is indexed using a standardized data schema that covers geography, logistics (currency, power outlets, driving side, airports), sustainability (eco-ratings, coral reef status, green initiatives), seasonal intelligence (best months, hurricane risk, rainy seasons), cultural vibes, local food, hidden gems, and safety tips.

Each island profile contains over 47 structured data points, compiled from official tourism boards, government sources, UNESCO records, and verified firsthand accounts. Our eco-rating system scores each destination on a 1–5 scale based on marine protection, national park coverage, renewable energy adoption, and active conservation programs.

The search and comparison tools let you filter the entire Caribbean directory by vibe (romance, adventure, diving, nightlife), season, language, sustainability rating, and more β€” so you can find the right island for the right trip without scrolling through 30 browser tabs.

What makes us different

Most Caribbean travel sites are either resort booking engines or affiliate-driven "top 10" lists. TropicAtlas is neither. We do not sell bookings, and we do not rank islands based on advertising spend. Our directory is built on structured data, not sponsored placements.

We cover 23 Caribbean destinations β€” from well-known islands like Jamaica and the Bahamas to overlooked gems like Dominica, Bonaire, and Anguilla. Each profile is treated with the same depth and rigor, regardless of tourism marketing budgets.

Our approach to data

Travel information changes. Currencies fluctuate, visa policies shift, airports open, and hurricanes reshape coastlines. We review and update our data regularly to ensure accuracy, and we clearly label when profiles were last verified.

That said, TropicAtlas is an informational resource β€” not a substitute for official government travel advisories. We always recommend checking your home country's travel advisory and the destination's official tourism authority before booking.

Our data sources include national tourism authorities, the CIA World Factbook, UNESCO World Heritage Centre, IATA airport databases, and regional environmental organizations. Where data is estimated or approximate, we note it.

Built by Maestro Media Group

TropicAtlas is a product of Maestro Media Group, a digital media and software company specializing in data-driven content platforms, social media production, and business automation. Maestro Media Group also operates multiple radio broadcast licenses in Haiti under the Target FM brand.

We built TropicAtlas because we are Caribbean. We understand the region not as a vacation brochure but as a complex, diverse archipelago of cultures, economies, and ecosystems. That perspective shapes everything about how we present the data β€” with nuance, respect, and a commitment to accuracy over hype.

Maestro Media Group is headquartered in the United States with operations across the Caribbean.
